Installation Guidelines
Housing Inspection: Ensure the gland or housing bore is clean and free of scratches or corrosion.
Lubrication: Use a neutral lubricant (soap water or glycerin) on the outer elastomer cup/O-ring. Do not use petroleum-based grease on EPDM rubber.
Squareness: Press the seat into the housing using a soft-faced tool or a flat plate to ensure it sits perfectly square to the shaft axis.
Face Protection: Avoid touching the polished carbon face with bare fingers; oils from the skin can attract dust and cause premature wear.
